What is Camp 2.0?
Camp 2.0 is a place where we can gather during this extraordinary time keeping each other and our families safe while still being together to support one another in our journey of Christian Faith. During this time of physical distancing, we must find ways to be socially, emotionally, and spiritually close. Although it will not be the same as being together at Templed Hills Camp, we believe we can provide some positive Christian camp community connections and growth in this way.
- • Connect with old and new friends.
- • Hear and see daily Morning Watch and Vesper messages.
- • Strengthen your prayer life by learning fun new ways to pray through our “This is our Prayer” religious theme focus.
- • See your favorite staff and new staff showing you fun activities you can try at home.
- • Interact with old and new friends through at least one daily two way interactive “zoom-type” activity
- • Receive in the mail a real, hold-it-in-your-hands camp experience through our “Camp in a Box,” which contains supplies for fun camp activities to do at home, with or without participating in the online camps.
- • And more! Every session will be different! Sign up for more than one!
Remember, just like camp at Templed Hills is not like school or church, Camp 2.0 will not be the same as church or school online. Campers should register for their favorite specialty sessions to participate in the two-way interactive elements and have their Camp in a Box delivered to their doorstep. All campers will also have access to all camp sessions one-way presentations like Morning Watch, Vespers, prayer practices, camp songs and activities, and more!

Camp 2.0 Sessions (Please see below for camp details):
Please note: There will be no Camp 2.0 for Love the Pool or Counselor in Training/internship and we encourage campers from these sessions to try a different session or two! Me and My Pal is being combined with Grandparent/Grandchild camp as “Grand and Pals”. Hand in Hand is doing something different and past participants will receive an email with details.
We are extremely excited to share with you that we are now able to begin to open Templed Hills Camp in a small way. We will be offering opportunities for individual adults and families to come to camp for a day or for an overnight. There will also be service project opportunities. There are many expectations for these opportunities to ensure health and safety as much as possible. Click here for more information.
Camp 2.0 is being provided at no fee for all participants as a mission of the Heartland Conference. There are many expenses to provide this program such as the various technical platforms, license and software, volunteer background checks, supplies and postage for Camp in a Box, “This is my Prayer” curriculum, and more. There are also many expenses still occurring at Templed Hills Camp and Conference Center, like utilities, insurance, general grounds upkeep, buildings upkeep and more, with little income. Although we have now invited adults and families to come out to camp, we need to keep the numbers low for safety. This amount will not cover expenses or make up for the loss of usual bookings from April until we can once again open completely. We ask you to prayerfully consider donating to this mission project as you are able. Click here to donate. Thank you for your generosity. While you can go to any and all Camp 2.0 sessions for free, your donations will help support us in a time of financial need for this year and future camp years.

Times are crazy but at this camp you get to be MMADD! Music, Mime, Art, Drama, and Dance are some of our favorite things, but the creativity and shenanigans go well beyond that. This year we will not be gathering together at Templed Hills, and while our hearts are sad not to get to spend the week with you in the wilderness, we look forward to inviting not just campers, but also their families to join us in MMADD Camp 2.0. We will celebrate being God’s people together even when we are apart through all the creative and fun things you know and love about MMADD Camp while you are still in the safety and comfort of your home. Classes and Meals to Campfires and Vespers we will help you lead camp and be camp no matter where you might be. Your MMADD Camp in a Box will also help you set the stage at home for a fun week! Come be MMADD with us.
